The Youngstown Business & Professional Association provides valuable services to its members at a very affordable membership fee.

  • Value: Our membership fee is $50. That's $4.17 a month. This small investment has big impact in our community, and supports our mission.
  • Marketing: The YBPA produces and distributes a brochure annually that outlines all of the year's events and includes a business listing and map. This publication receives wide distribution, and offers a great deal of exposure for businesses.
  • Volunteer Organization: Our board is comprised of volunteers in the community that are mission focused, committed to supporting everyone in the community and promoting Youngstown as the beautiful destination it is.
  • Advocacy: We work closely with our local officials to represent the interests of our members, and do so in the spirit of partnership. Working together, we can build a stronger community where everyone can thrive.
  • Community: Our community benefits when we all work together. By bringing more members into the fold, we build a stronger organization and accomplish more for our members and our community.

Welcome to one and all!

“It is with great pleasure and without hesitation that I proudly endorse the efforts and accomplishments of the Youngstown Business and Professional Association. Being a life-time resident and business owner in Youngstown, and from a pioneer family who has been in this region for over 200 years, I hope I possess a perspective that is not inaccurate. Nestled in the North-west corner of Niagara County, Youngstown is totally unique. Fascinating natural resources and beauty, Youngstown is home to a wonderful community of students, of educators, or workers, of merchants, of farmers, of retirees, of tourists, ad. Infinitum. The salient point is that everything here functions as a "community", in no small part because of the efforts of the YBPA, and Cheryl and Mark Butera. Welcome to one and all!"

YBPA plays a key and very functional role to the local community

“The YBPA is an important and key part of our Youngstown and Porter community. Our community has gone through major changes in the past several decades.

Our population was 50% greater during the 1940’s through the 60’s with the Ft. Niagara military base that trained US Army soldiers and other important military roles. This additional population supported (3) local grocery stores, more restaurants, a hardware store, two liquor stores, many more bars and grills and even a men’s and women’s clothing store.

After the closure of the military base in the early 1960’s businesses began to decline with less patronage. The YBPA started in the 1970’s to promote and support our local brick and mortar businesses and the other smaller businesses, farms and professionals who work out of their homes. Today the YBPA has more than (80) members.

As a former Village of Youngstown Trustee and current Town of Porter Councilman, I have had the privilege of working with them as a liaison and member to support the YBPA. The Town of Porter works with the YBPA the secure annual funding which prints an informational brochure promoting Youngstown and the Town of Porter businesses. The brochure list events, business names, contact information , and has a map with their locations.
Once again, I would like to say that the YBPA plays a key and very functional role to the local community. We have a lot to offer with a great quality of living!”
